Shirley, Judy and Oz

Last night, I watched "The Wizard of Oz". The last time I've seen it was when I was still in, I think grade school. Up to now I still can't believe that not a lot of people know about the original version starring Judy Garland. Sometimes, I sing "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" thinking that the person I'm with will be able to relate and sing with me as well. So far, I have only met one person who also knows about it--my crazy Canadian friend Amanda. :p As silly as it may sound, I felt much better the day she sang "If I only had a brain, a heart, a home, the nerve.." And then I sang along.

I'm not going to blog about the movie's plot or what I felt after watching it. I'm going to blog about Shirley Temple and why I think she'll also be a great Dorothy. She was MGM's first choice actually but because 20th Century Fox did not allow her to play Dorothy, MGM chose Judy instead. (It's just like ABS-CBN and GMA, I think. There's always competition between stations and broadcasting companies.) Anyway, I think Shirley would be a great Dorothy because 1) She was only 11 or 12 that time. Judy was already 17. I think it would be better if an 11-year old visited the magical land of Oz and met the scarecrow, the tin man, the cowardly lion and all the other characters instead of a 17-year old. I just think it would be better if Dorothy were portrayed by a kid. 2) I have always been a fan of Shirley Temple and her movies. I love her acting, her tap dancing, her singing, her curls.. I also have some of her movies. I even have a Shirley Temple doll. She's one of my most favorite actresses. (But I like Judy Garland, too) c:

My favorite Shirley Temple movies are "The Little Princess", "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm", "Heidi", "Poor Little Rich Girl" and "Now and Forever". I always thought she was the original little princess and the original Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm but I made a little research and the original was Mary Pickford in the 1917 version. I'll make sure to watch that version. Shirley wasn't the original Heidi either. Oh well. I still love her. Hehe.

Shirley Temple is now Shirley Temple-Black. She was married twice and is now 82 years old, my mom thinks. Sigh. If only I could have a complete collection of her movies.

Here's a photo of Judy Garland as Dorothy.

I wish Tim Burton would do a re-make of "The Wizard of Oz" starring Johnny Depp as the scarecrow and Helena Bonham-Carter as Miss Gulch/the Wicked Witch of the West.

Weddings, Johnny Depp , Russia and My Other Interests

Today, I am multi-tasking. I'm typing, ym-ing, surfing the net and thinking all at the same time! Isn't that great?! Okay, kidding. Forgive me if I still haven't figured out what my blog would be about. I'm still undecided, hence the main title of this blog (Littow Miss Undecided. hehe).

I'm actually thinking of my interests. I love weddings. I love looking at wedding gowns (I like Kirstie Kelly's designs), I love reading about celebrity weddings (we have 2 wedding books at home and i read them ALL the time.), I love looking at wedding cakes. Actually (okay this is a bit embarrassing), my favorite things to search on the net are wedding photographers, wedding caterers, florists, wedding planners, hair and make-up artists, musicians, jewelry made especially for brides, wedding gown designers, wedding cake decorators, wedding and reception locations, wedding invitations, favors, where to shop for rings and the tux. Haha. Of course, I don't know if I'll ever get married but still I can't help but be obsessed with weddings.

My second interest (my interests are not necessarily in order, by the way) is Johnny Depp. I love him more than the vampire. I love him more than the boy wizard. (I love Edward and Harry just a little c:). I'm almost complete with my Johnny Depp DVD collection. I can make my very own Johnny Depp shrine actually. Haha. I even have a checklist of his movies. Okay, I'm boring you with my Johnny Depp knowledge. Anyway, on to the next interest.

As I've mentioned, Edward Cullen and Harry Potter. I've actually read Twilight months before it even became popular here in the Philippines. And all thanks to Chalet! She is a genius. She can foretell which books would be popular in the next few months. Coolness.

I love food. But I don't know how to cook. Well, I think I can, but I haven't tried. You see, I am not allowed to turn on the gas stove at home alone. It sucks. I love reading recipes and sometimes, I imagine cooking them. Uh, yeah, for now my imagination will suffice.

I love the history of Russia. I love reading about Anastasia Romanov's life. It's very very interesting. I even have pictures of them. She and all of her sisters are beautiful. I would love to post a picture of them here but I forgot the source and I might get slaughtered for doing so. Hehe. History is love.

Hmnnn.. What else do I love? I love dancing (but it's been a while since I last danced. I don't even know if I still am capable of dancing). I love playing billiards, but I do not like going to bars, okay. I sooo looove France. I love the country. I love the way French people speak. I am actually planning to have a minor in French but that means having to study French 3 in the summer and french 4 in the first semester. So, does that mean I would not be able to graduate on time? Har har. But, still, I want to have a minor in French. Hehe. Any-who-how, so long! Or is it, au revoir?

Nakakairita si Kat. Katabi ko kasi. ;p

My Blah Blah Blog Entry

Does my blog look weird having all those widgets I added? Hehe. Anyway, since I still haven't figured out what my blog would be about, I decided, in the meantime, to write about (don't be disappointed) myself. Haha. No one would be reading my blog entries yet anyway.

It's exactly 10:21 and I still have class at 10:30. I still have Film. Ugh. Film. The dreaded Film. I hate Film not because of the professor (I like the professor actually. I find him really nice). I do not hate it because it's a 3-hour class. I hate it because I am not good with handling the camera, I suck in making scripts (I do not even know how to make decent stories), I could not act, I do not know which type of shots are the best for this particular scene, I am a bit challenged with technology, I love watching films but I hate having to analyze them, I do not know how to edit and I do not know how to make a storyboard (Drawing hates me. My stick people don't even look good).

Anyway, my pewpie Kat is already here. Bonjour!

No, I Don't Care. But, I Believe I Should.

Reading or listening to PGMA's SONA has never been of interest to me. I only read one when I was in highschool and only because it was required. So I guess my answer to the question "do i care?" is obvious. But should i even care? Well, I think i should. It's people like me that make our country less productive. I think everyone should care. We should not wait for someone else to do the work of making our country better. We should all do our part.

But stilllllllll, with a president like ours, how the heck could we care??
